The power of learning
Where passion meets practice—because great teaching never stops.
Can’t Stop Teaching is founded on the belief that learning shouldn’t be separate from real life—instead, it should enhance it. Our approach to education focuses on making academic concepts relevant by connecting them to everyday experiences, personal growth, and real-world applications. When students see the purpose behind what they’re learning, they’re more engaged, motivated, and prepared for lifelong success.
Core Learning Philosophies:
Active, hands-on participation
Critical thinking and problem-solving
Applying knowledge in meaningful, authentic contexts
Preparing students for real-life challenges and opportunities
Building deep understanding—not just surface-level recall
About Me
I’m Dr. Jennie Burke, an Associate Professor of Education at Millersville University and the founder of Can’t Stop Teaching, an educational consulting business rooted in over two decades of experience and a lifelong passion for teaching and learning. I specialize in social studies education, teacher induction and mentorship, curriculum development, and social-emotional learning (SEL).
I earned my Doctorate in Education from Rutgers University, where I focused on anti-bias curriculum design and equity in elementary classrooms. Before entering higher education, I spent 12 years as a special education teacher in a Title I school in New Jersey. There, I developed inclusive strategies to support diverse learners and gained firsthand insight into the real-world challenges educators face every day.
Now, with over 20 years of experience across early childhood, elementary, and middle school settings, I bring a classroom-tested, research-backed perspective to everything I do—from designing inquiry-based units and professional development workshops to mentoring new teachers and supporting schools in creating more culturally responsive environments.
Collaboration is central to my work. Whether I'm partnering with district leaders, mentoring preservice teachers, or co-creating family engagement strategies, I believe the best educational outcomes come from strong, intentional relationships. I also serve as the chair of the Early Childhood/Elementary Community for the National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) and regularly present at national and international conferences.
As a mother of four boys under 14, I live the realities of modern parenting and education every day. My experiences as both an educator and a parent fuel my commitment to making learning more meaningful, inclusive, and relevant—for students, teachers, and families alike.
Through Can’t Stop Teaching, I offer customized professional development, teacher induction programs, curriculum consulting, and speaking engagements designed to help schools retain passionate educators and cultivate learning environments where every student thrives.
