 CareerStrong: New Teacher Induction

A Research-Based Approach to Early Career Teacher Retention.

New Teacher Induction Programs for First- and Second-Year Educators

School districts that partner with this program gain access to a thoughtfully sequenced, research-based 10-workshop series designed to support new teachers as they enter the profession. The progression mirrors a real first-year teaching journey—beginning with establishing routines and effective classroom management, and evolving into deeper work in collaboration, social-emotional learning (SEL), instructional planning, and long-term professional sustainability. This program grows with your teachers, helping them thrive—not just survive.

Second-year induction programs are also available to support teachers beyond the basics, with advanced sessions that build leadership capacity, deepen reflective practice, and align with state-mandated requirements for continued induction. These sessions address topics such as data-driven instruction, culturally responsive teaching, student engagement strategies, and family partnerships—reinforcing long-term retention and instructional excellence.

Each 90-minute session includes clear objectives, actionable takeaways, and optional reflection tools such as planning templates and self-assessments. Built-in accountability structures help participants track growth and increase professional confidence over time.

The consistent workshop format offers predictability while allowing for fresh, evolving content that addresses the changing needs of early-career educators. All content aligns with district goals and state standards, including the Danielson Framework and Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Induction requirements, making integration seamless for school and district leaders.

The result? Reduced new teacher attrition, improved classroom management, stronger family engagement, and more confident, reflective educators equipped with the tools they need to differentiate instruction, lead with SEL, and stay in the profession long-term.
